Deava's Reaching
'There are people here to see you, my Arya,' Lord Dakkan said.
'Eliar and i?' the Arya asked back.
'Yes,' replied the man, giving a short bow. He stood up straight and walked away to tell the people that they had been accepted. Just at the right time Eliar walked in.
'There are people wanting to see us dear,' Andine told him giving him a kiss on the cheek.
'Now? I just got out of one,' he complained back.
'I know. But if they look like they are going to talk for a long time we can just tell them that I am tired and to come back tomorrow,' she replied.
'Can't we just do that now?' he asked her.
'No,' Andine replied with a smirk, rubbing her belly. 'I hate this. It makes me look fat,' she muttered down to her unborn child.
'But it will all be worth it,' Eliar told her and hugged her close.
'It had better be,' she replied with a growl. They both jumped and look up when the doors in front of them were opened to admit people.
'Althalus?' Eliar asked in astonishment.
'I don't see another one here,' Althalus replied with a smirk.
'Emmy!' Andine called and walked her way over to meet the two.
'Good to see you both looking well,' Dweia said with a smile.
'Ha!' Andine replied. 'I look fat.'
'You look stunning. You don't have to hide you know,' Althalus said.
'Who? What?' Eliar asked. Althalus reached behind Emmy and pulled a little girl into view.
'They won't eat you,' he said to her.
'Your fault. You were the one who told her those stories about Pekhal,' Dweia said and led Andine off to talk to her about pregnancies.
'Who's this? Don't tell me that you guys have adopted another into the family,' Eliar said.
'No. she is ours,' Althalus boasted with loving pride.
'So the goddess of fertility has a little daughter. You are going to be very spoilt,' he told the little girl.
'Mummy says that Daddy will spoil me but Daddy says that Mummy will spoil me,' she said. 'I'm confused.'
'In my opinion, and everyone else's that you meet, they will both spoil you. What's your name?' Eliar told her.
'Hélène,' Althalus' daughter said back. Althie smiled. It was good to see his children getting along with each other.
'As much as this is nice to catch up and everything, this isn't a social call,' Althalus said his smile disappearing.
'Daeva's come again.'
'Eliar and i?' the Arya asked back.
