Cover My Eyes
Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
Tell me these words are a lie
It cant be true
That I'm losing you
The sun cannot fall from the sky
Can you hear heaven cry
Tears of an angel
Tears of aaaaaaaa...
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel.
Stop every clock
Stars are in shock
The river would run to the sea
I wont let you fly
I wont say goodbye
I wont let you slip away from me
Can you hear heaven cry
Tears of an angel
Tears of aaaaaaaa...
Tears of an angel
Tears of an angel.
So hold on
Be strong
Everyday hope will grow
I'm here, dont you fear
Little one dont let go
(ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh)
Dont let go
(ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh)
Dont let go
(ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh)
Cover my eyes
Cover my ears
Tell me these words are a lie
'No! It can't be,' Alyss sobbed and fell to the ground, ruining her white dress but not caring.
'Alyss-' Pauline started.
'No!' Alyss screamed, stood up and can out of the cabin, tears blinding her way into the forest.
It has to be a lie, it has to be a lie, she continued repeating to herself until she ran out of breath and leant against the closest tree.
With a small start, Alyss glared at the new comer.
'I had guessed that you would be here,' Halt said and sat down at her feet. 'This is where Will would always get the water for the cabin. Sometimes, I would realise that he hadn't come back for a while and come down here to find him captivated at by the swirls of the water.'
Alyss sat down next to him and gave a small smile. When ever Will had come back from a particularly had mission she would find him here, thinking.
'I can't believe that he is gone,' Alyss whispered, the tears making a come back once more.
'He seemed to have the luck of staying alive,' Halt replied and crawled forwards more to see the water. 'I can see why he enjoyed watching it,' Halt said. Alyss nodded, too many tears were now pouring down her face for her to say anything. Halt crawled back to her and wrapped one arm around her shoulder.
Together, tears flooded their faces and created tracks of small memories.
